Kroger Marketplace

I always usually get cakes from the bakery from this Kroger they never disappoint for my kiddos birthday!! Today I went in picked a cake and requested for something to be written on. Luis at the bakery was asked and wrote it on for me. I just want to say thank you again! You made my day. It was written so beautifully and what matters are the little things thank you for being so genuine and polite!! Bless your heart! ☺️🤎 (Btw the figurines I added onto cake)

Friendly and helpful staff. The store is clean. Fresh food, value pricing. Wide variety of ready made meals. Bakery, deli, produce and meat departments are all maintained exceptionally well. Unfortunately there is an excessively loud public announcement intercom that is used regularly for phone calls to the store - departments-staff members - every time announcements are made the combination of loud and shrill noise leaves little chance to a pleasant shopping experience the store is clearly capable of.

If I were just rating the actual store itself and the products, the review would be 5 stars! The store selection is great, produce is always in great condition, wonderful pricing and sales on clothing. I have two major complaints that damper my visit every single time. Absolutely disgusting restrooms ( consistently) and very rude employees, specifically the self checkout woman and that’s consistent as well. Certain aspects of poor customer service takes this store down several notches

Today, my elderly mother was treated extremely rude by a cashier named Lisa. Lisa did NOT greet us when we walked up to her line, yet she continued to have a conversation with the individual that was bagging the groceries. She was very dissimive bc my mother was unaware of how to use the new digital coupons. My mother tried to give her the coupons after the transaction. Lisa's response was "Oh well, you're supposed to do it before I start scanning your items." I then explained to her that this was my mother's 1st time using the digital coupons and was unaware of the process that needed to be taken. After she scanned the groceries she refused to take the additional steps to show my elderly mother what she did wrong and instructed the woman (Angela) that was assisting with bagging up the groceries to show my mother what she needed to do. While Angela was correcting the bill, the line began to get long (2 additional customers), and Lisa said, "Look, now we have a long line, go help them somewhere else." While Lisa was saying that she pushed our belongings out the way and started scanning the next customer's items. At that point, I then had to bag up the rest of my mother's groceries and place them into her cart bc it was clearly obvious that Lisa no longer cared about my mother's items. We went to another line where Angela made the adjustments to the bill as well as showed my mother how to clip her coupons for the future. Moving forward, I would greatly appreciate it if ALL of your cashiers displayed the same level of customer service as Angela. I would advise you all to conduct custom service training and/or give your cashiers a refresher course. No elderly person should ever be mistreated because they were unaware of Kroger's new policies.

This Kroger is slowly gone downhill. Idk who’s managing the front but it’s a disaster? I spent $115 today. Needed $4.25 change. Cashier doesn’t have change, who btw doesn’t greet or say hello. The front spends the next 10 min figuring out how to get change?? First off the cashier should be alert enough to call for change but she didn’t. Dumb. Train your people. The black girl wearing a red vest no help. She’s clueless, and is not customer friendly. She looked like a deer in the headlights. Now comes a Manager by the name of Hailey. Looks 12. She tells me they’re trying to get my change but they’re running a “recycler”??? What? Not my problem. And why are you running that in the busiest time of day? Hailey also looked frazzled and struggled to get into a register for $4!!! Kroger. Keep a manager up front to run for change when needed! Train your cashiers to call for change so customers don’t have to wait unnecessary wait times! Kroger needs to do something about this store. Don’t hire people just bc their breathing. They have to have a basic skill set to do the job. None of these individuals today possess any type of service skills what so ever. I bet your Q vision is awful too
